This position requires leadership in negotiation, interpretation and administration of collective agreements.  This position reports directly to the Director of Education. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;b&gt;Duties and Responsibilities&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;1.	Manages and coordinates the recruitment process of all staff, including substitute teachers and casual employees.&lt;br/&gt;2.	Collaborates with senior administration regarding staffing complement and placement in the division.&lt;br/&gt;3.	Provides leadership in the area of coordinating enrolment projections and staffing complement, staff placements and responses to the employment environment.&lt;br/&gt;4.	Works closely with the Supervisors/Managers to hire, supervise and evaluate support staff; caretakers, clerical, bus drivers and technical staff.&lt;br/&gt;5.	Works closely with Senior Administration in monitoring the supervision of all staff.&lt;br/&gt;6.	Monitors and manages employee contracts, benefits, placements and requests in consultation with the Director/Superintendent of Business.&lt;br/&gt;7.	Provides leadership in negotiations, negotiated contract interpretation and application for support staff - union and non-union, teachers.&lt;br/&gt;8.	Acts as a liaison with employee groups in various settings   Liaison Meetings, contract interpretation, managing employee return to work placements.&lt;br/&gt;9.	Collaborates with Superintendents and Supervisors regarding staff professional development, including provincial and division bursaries.&lt;br/&gt;10.	Coordinates a mentorship program/orientation with superintendents and supervisors for newly hired staff   teachers, school-based administrators, support staff in all job descriptions.&lt;br/&gt;11.	Coordinates the promotion of the school division as a good employer with the Communications Officer.&lt;br/&gt;12.	Administers and places interns and student teachers.&lt;br/&gt;13.	Participates in planning/policy/action committees.&lt;br/&gt;14.	 Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;b&gt;Qualifications&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Education, Training and Experience  &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt; 	The required knowledge, skills and abilities are obtained through successful completion of a Degree in Commerce with a major in Human Resources; or comparable education in local governance certification or business administration with a major in Human Resources.&lt;br/&gt; 	Experience in the education sector or in the field of Human Resources would be considered an asset.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;b&gt;Licenses, Certifications and Registrations&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt; 	Must possess a valid driver&#39;s licence and/or the means and ability to travel extensively throughout the Province of Saskatchewan.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;b&gt;Knowledge, Skills and Abilities&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;1.	Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of staff within the school system, with local and provincial organizations; and with a broad cross section of the local community.&lt;br/&gt;2.	Proven ability to provide leadership in a broad education setting which includes the wider community.&lt;br/&gt;3.	Ability to organize, prioritize and collaborate successfully.&lt;br/&gt;4.	Knowledge of Labour Standards and other applicable legislation.&lt;br/&gt;5.	Knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, internet and payroll software and the ability to use the software effectively to perform various duties.&lt;br/&gt;6.	Ability to interpret, and make decisions in accordance with, established policies and procedures.&lt;br/&gt;7.	Ability to provide leadership in the areas of recruitment, retention, hiring, orientation and mentorship of support personnel.&lt;br/&gt;8.
